This year was quite a year of growth for Shaina Lee Photography, one grander than I ever could have imagined! Arturo came on to assist with more engagement sessions and weddings, we moved into our first studio, I started offering boudoir photography, and discovered my love for working with fellow female entrepreneurs to create fun and exciting lifestyle headshots!

Life as an Entrepreneur | Year Two

Exactly two years ago today I began my first day as a full-time photographer. At my previous job I was the fourth generation to be working at my family's hardware store, and though I loved being part of this family legacy, I realized my heart was in photography and being my own boss in the creative industry! After months of crunching some numbers and a whole lot of love and encouragement from Arturo, I made the decision to pursue my photography career full time. It's been a wild ride and I'm so thankful to do what I love each and every day!

The Studio

For those of you who haven't had a chance to drop by the studio yet, I'm so happy to finally be taking you on a photo tour! Our studio is located at 305 Knowlton Street in Bridgeport, Connecticut. 305 Knowlton is an old industrial building with amazing character which was once home to the Armstrong Manufacturing Company in the 1800s. Today it is home to about 25 artist studios and small businesses!
