7 Occasions to Book a Photo Session

You've probably seen a million and one reasons to hire a professional photographer; you're getting married, you're engaged, you need updated family portraits, it's someone's birthday... the list goes on. Today I'm introducing you to some not-so-obvious reasons to book a photo session with a professional photographer.
1. You're Feeling Fabulous
If you want to be able look back on a particular time in your life where you were feeling on top of the world, then be sure to have it documented! Are you celebrating a birthday? Did you get a new hair style, or maybe a new job? If you're feeling great, book a session! You'll get fun photographs out of it, which can double as new head shots. Your glow will shine through in your photos, making for beautiful portraits!
2. You've Adopted a New Pet
Whether it be a cat, dog or even a guinea pig, this new addition to your family deserves to be photographed! In-home Family Documentary Sessions are a wonderful way to capture the moments between your family and your new fur baby (read below to learn more about Family Documenty Sessions).
3. You Want to Remember Your Life in This Moment
Family Documentary Sessions are my favorite style of family photography. Authentic, raw and organic moments are documented between you and the ones you love! Photographing my clients in their homes (where they're most comfortable) allows me to capture the memories and fleeting moments of their lives.
4. You've Moved Into a New Home
Speaking of home... whether you've just bought a home, or moved somewhere new, it's a time in your life that deserves to be photographed. It's new and exciting, and you get to show off your decorating style!
5. You're on Vacation
Photographers LOVE to travel! Living so close to the NYC area, I love to capture some fun and candid moments for out-of-towners visiting the city for the first (or millionth!) time. A selfie stick will only get you so far-- hire a local professional to capture the memories of your trip for you!
6. You're in Love
Engagements and anniversaries are perfect times to book a session, but there's no rule in the world that says you need to wait to be photographed with your love for one of these events to come around! What's a better reason than to book a session to capture the love you have for each other in that moment?!
7. You're Going to Propose
Piggy backing off of #6, hiring a photographer to document your wedding proposal is something you won't regret. This event happens in a matter of seconds, so why not have it photographed to remember it for a lifetime?
