5 Ways to Market Your Business Online


MAXIMIZING ONLINE MARKETING WITH PERSONAL BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY

As a brand photographer, I’ve seen firsthand how impactful visual storytelling can be for personal branding. Whether you're an entrepreneur, a small business owner, or content creator, using your brand images strategically can greatly boost your business’s visibility and engagement. Your branding photos should be shared widely and frequently to connect with your audience. Below I’m sharing some of the best ways I've seen my clients utilize the brand imagery I've created for them!


SHOW YOURSELF

People connect with people. By featuring yourself in your photos, you humanize your brand and make it more relatable. Invest in high-quality headshots and work with a photographer who can help create images that reflect your personality, as well as your professional demeanor. Your photographer can also capture candid moments from your workday or creative process to give your audience a glimpse into your life and work ethic.

OPTIMIZE YOUR WEBSITE & BLOG

Your website is your digital storefront. It’s often the first place potential clients visit to learn more about you and your services. Be sure to use high-quality images (i.e. taken by a professional) of yourself and your work to make your website visually engaging! On your homepage or about page, include a compelling bio and professional headshots (either formal or lifestyle) to introduce yourself and build trust. Lastly, regularly update your blog with insightful posts and relevant images to showcase your expertise and keep your audience engaged.

LEVERAGE Email Marketing

Email marketing is a direct line to your audience, allowing you to build and nurture relationships over time. Use photos of yourself in your email newsletters to create a personal connection with your readers (personally, I like to include one of my headshots below my signature). Your “why” is the driving force behind your brand! Sharing it helps your audience understand your passion and purpose. Use photos and captions to tell the story of why you started your business and what motivates you. Clearly state your mission on your website and social media profiles, in conjunction with your brand imagery. Additionally, share photos and quotes from satisfied clients that highlight how you’ve helped them and align with your brand’s mission!
