What to Expect, Timing, and Location

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SESSION

I know having your photo taken with fewer clothes on than you're used to might be a bit unnerving!  At the start of your session, we'll take some time to chat and decide which outfit choice to start with. Don’t worry about being unsure how to pose for your photos — it’s my job to teach you all of that! I will walk you through different poses throughout your session to create natural, elegant, beautiful images.

LOCATION

The location of your session is up to you! There are plenty of great hotels and Airbnb spots around the state, and I’m happy to name a few of my favorites if you need. I will challenge you to think outside the box and brainstorm unique locations that you might have special access to that most people don't. For example, maybe you, or someone in your personal or professional network, can secure permission to a location that would otherwise be off-limits, like a penthouse or private estate. In-home sessions are also a wonderful option, as it is a place where you're most comfortable. Wherever you choose should have plenty of natural light to ensure quality portraits!

Please note that any expenses associated with your location choice are your responsibility (room fees, parking, etc).

LIGHTING

Natural light (sunlight coming in through the window) is my favorite light to work with for boudoir photos since it’s the most flattering lighting for portraits!
