Lifted Spirits | Vendor Love
Arturo and I first met the team of Lifted Spirits, a bar concierge, in early 2018 at a local networking event for Connecticut and Westchester wedding vendors. We were immediately drawn to their professionalism, friendly faces, and beautiful attention to detail with each drink they served to all of the guests at the event. Lifted Spirits specializes in customized bar experiences whether you are entertaining an intimate group or a large crowd! They currently serve clients, weddings, and events in Connecticut, Westchester, and New York. With Fairfield County’s first ever mobile bar service, you can also be a guest at your own party! Their mobile bar offers 3 selections on tap, refrigeration, ice, and all the on-demand bar amenities for launch events, fundraisers, weddings, corporate events and private functions.
I recently interviewed Stacey Orecchio, the owner of Lifted Spirits, for our Vendor Love blog series. We’ve always gotten along well and I knew our readers will adore her as much as Arturo and I do! Read on to learn more about Stacey and Lifted Spirits!
Tell me a bit about you and your business! How did you get started in the wedding industry?
"The simplest way to describe Lifted Spirits Bar Concierge & Staffing is that we bring a complete bar wherever you are. Whether you book our mobile bar trailer or stationary bars, we can provide alcohol, liability-insured staff, and all the supplies needed for a turnkey activation. This eliminates the inconvenient tasks that go into putting a professional bar together. Making an ice run is such a buzzkill when you’re hosting a party! I think the reason why we have become more popular in the wedding circuit is because people want memorable, unique experiences sans the stress. Whether it’s a bachelorette, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, wedding reception or next-day brunch, we step in so our clients can party more and work less.”
What do you love most about owning a bar concierge?
"There is so much in life to celebrate — from casual get-togethers to majestic milestones. Whether a couple is honoring a new engagement, a baby on the way, or being another year older, we thrive off of the energy in the room on event day.”
What should couples know about your process and about working with you?
"Aside from the basics (date/time/location/number of guests), it’s always a good idea to schedule a phone or in-person meeting so we can learn as much about the couple as possible. We want to know every detail – like what kind of food they are serving to how they met. All this info is crucial in making an original, wow-worthy bar experience.”
What is your favorite part about working with couples who are planning their wedding day?
"Seeing couples weave bits and pieces of their interests, personalities, and love story into planning THE BIG DAY is the most fun part of working with weddings. Figuring out high style ways we can highlight those elements at the bar keeps our spirits lifted.”
What (or who) inspires your creativity or business?
"My most original ideas come from“the shower effect,” the phenomenon that increased creativity is triggered during a shower, sauna session, driving home, etc. I also love getting lost in my favorite party planning sites like Party Slate and 100 Layer Cake. When we see guests Instagram their cocktails and take selfies with our staff, I know that our mission was accomplished.”
How early should couples book you to ensure you'll be available for their wedding day?
"Spring, summer, and fall weekends can get rather busy, so I’d suggest booking around the same time that they book a caterer – 6 months to be safe.”
What is one tip or piece of advice you'd give a couple for their wedding day?
"Hire a great photographer!”
