Candlelight Farms Inn Wedding in New Milford, CT | Kate & David
The last time Arturo and I saw Kate and David was in early February for their Waveny Park engagement session in New Canaan. 'Bitterly cold' doesn't even begin to describe how chilly it actually was that day! Thankfully I can say that their wedding at Candlelight Farms Inn in New Milford, Connecticut was so much warmer! This beautiful rustic wedding venue is a historic farm from the early 1800s with plenty of charm, with a picturesque outdoor ceremony site situated under two large birch trees. All week the forecast was calling for rain on Kate and Dave's wedding day, but miraculously we had beautiful weather with only some overcast skies and the sun peeking through a few of the clouds!
David and Kate live in California but decided to celebrate their wedding day in Dave's home state of Connecticut. They shared a perfectly romantic engagement on a camping trip in Santa Cruz last year, and had been looking forward to this day ever since! Kate and her bride tribe got ready for the day's events inside the Inn, as Dave and the guys did the same in the Clubhouse. They shared a sweet first look outside the front of the Inn before heading across the street to the stables for a few photos with one of the farm's horses, April! We walked along the rolling hills and tall grasses for more portraits of the soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. One thing I loved about working with Kate and Dave was the fact that they made portrait time of the two of them a priority for their day, which allowed Arturo and me to have plenty of time to capture beautifully romantic photos of the two of them to cherish for a lifetime together! After enjoying dinner with their guests, Kate and Dave shared a wonderfully romantic first dance as the sun was setting. The dancing didn't stop all night until it was time to cut the cake and send the newlyweds off with a sparkler exit!

As soon as Kate was visible to all of the guests, her mom and best friends started to cry tears of joy. It was one of the sweetest moments of the day!
Dave's brother shared a poem, bringing laughs and smiles to everyone in attendance!
