A NOVEMBER WEDDING AT THE INN AT LONGSHORE
Maggie and Jon’s fall wedding at The Inn at Longshore in Westport, Connecticut was one of the top highlights of our 2024 season! From the moment we chatted with these two and spent time with them at their winter engagement session early this year, it felt like we were all long-time friends. Jon and Maggie are sweet as pie and have THE BEST sense of humor. Arturo and loved every minute of working with them!
Our day began with the bride and groom as they got ready for the day ahead. You could feel the anticipation and excitement radiating off of them all morning! After they each applied the final touches to their wedding look, Jon and Maggie met on the back lawn of The Inn at Longshore for their first look as the water sparkled in the sunlight behind them.
When Maggie approached Jon and gently tapped his shoulder, he turned around to see his bride—and the joy on their faces was simply priceless! They shared a sweet embrace (and a few happy tears!). Later that afternoon, their wedding ceremony took place in the same spot they’d shared their first look, just as the clouds had moved in. The moment Jon broke the glass, cheers erupted, and the newlyweds shared their first kiss as husband and wife!
The night concluded with an unforgettable celebration—amazing music, lively dancing, and heartfelt speeches that had everyone laughing and tearing up. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and memories to last a lifetime.
THE LOVE STORY
Jon and Maggie met when they were working at their first jobs after graduating college. Maggie was already an intern at the company when Jon began his internship in May 2017. As desk mates, they looked forward to going to work each day both for the job itself, but also eager to make each other laugh. As fate would have it, they became fast friends! After a few company outings and a bit of courage, Jon asked Maggie out on a date, which she politely declined. With a bit of time, persistence, and humor, she eventually decided to give him a chance. They went on a hike together at one of the state parks and the rest was history! In the summer of 2023, Jon and Maggie were on vacation in Cape Cod when he surprised her with a romantic proposal on the sandbar. Of course, she said, “YES!”
Maggie and Jon, you are truly a perfect match, and we couldn’t be happier for you both! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together!
