A TOKENEKE CLUB WEDDING
Jen and George were married at the Tokeneke Club in Darien, Connecticut just as summer was beginning to transition into fall. Nestled along the shores of the Long Island Sound, the Tokeneke Club provided a picturesque backdrop for a classic and timeless celebration, offering breathtaking views, vibrant florals, and an atmosphere brimming with love and joy!
The day couldn’t have been more perfect. The early fall weather brought crisp air and soft, golden sunlight, setting the stage for a truly unforgettable wedding day! As George and Jen’s guests arrived, they were greeted by the beauty of the Tokeneke Club’s natural surroundings and the sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore.
One of my favorite parts of their wedding design was the florals. Jen and George had chosen lush, colorful arrangements that reflected the season's richness. Flowers in hues of soft blush, creams, whites, and vibrant greens adorned every corner, from the ceremony decor overlooking the water to the elegant centerpieces at the reception. Each detail was thoughtfully curated to complement the natural beauty and coastal style of the Tokeneke Club.
The ceremony took place just off the beach as the water sparkled in the sunlight behind the bride and groom. George and Jen exchanged heartfelt vows beneath a covered canopy as their closest loved ones witnessed it all. The day was intimate, emotional, and absolutely beautiful!
The reception that followed was an open-air celebration filled with laughter, dancing, and delicious food. Under a canopy of string lights, guests gathered to toast the newlyweds, share stories, and enjoy a lively evening. The combination of the Tokeneke Club’s timeless charm and the couple’s unique vision created an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and deeply personal.
As a photographer, capturing the essence of this day was an absolute joy! From candid moments of the couple’s pure happiness to the intricate details of the decor, every moment told a story. Jen and George’s wedding at the Tokeneke Club was a true celebration of love, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of family and friends.
THE LOVE STORY
George and Jen shared their first date in March of 2021 after meeting online. Jen felt things had gone great, but George thought she wasn’t into him and didn’t anticipate a second date. She decided to reach out to him on St. Patrick’s Day and they planned another date. Luckily this time, they both mutually felt a spark! Soon enough, George and Jen were spending their weekends together and traveling around New England before moving in together in 2022. In 2023, they took a romantic trip to Italy where George proposed in Lake Como!
