Springtime in New England is a magical season, and this April wedding at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina captured that magic perfectly! Nestled along the Connecticut shoreline in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, this stunning venue offers a breathtaking waterfront backdrop, making it an ideal location for a coastal wedding infused with elegance, modern style, and nautical charm.
Erin and Patrick’s beautiful coastal wedding was a joyful celebration of their love! They chose a sophisticated color palette of sage and gold, accented with light blue, creating a serene and elegant atmosphere that harmonized with the waters of Saybrook Point Resort. The combination of soft greens, warm metallics, and subtle blues brought a fresh yet timeless feel to the bride and groom’s wedding day.
While the original plan was to have their ceremony outdoors overlooking the marina, gusty winds and chilly temperatures led to the ceremony being held indoors. But that didn’t dampen the joy of the day one bit! The indoor space was beautifully transformed to reflect the couple’s vision—filled with natural light, romantic florals, and elegant details. Large windows still offered stunning views of the water, so the spirit of the coast was very much present. The room was filled with happy tears and the kind of love that warms even the cloudiest of days!
Following the heartfelt ceremony, Erin and Patrick’s wedding guests moved into the elegantly designed ballroom for the reception. The space was adorned with lush greenery, delicate floral centerpieces, and flickering candlelight, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The newlyweds’ attention to detail ensured that every element reflected their vision of a refined yet whimsical wedding celebration!
THE LOVE STORY
Patrick and Erin grew up in the same town in northern Connecticut with a mutual best friend, so it’s safe to say that they’ve known each other for quite some time! Though they went to different schools, they connected a bit in high school but didn’t start dating until they ended up attending the same college. During the first week of school, Patrick texted Erin to see if she wanted to grab a bite to eat at Chipotle, and the pair were officially dating by the end of that September!
