A SUMMER ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT SOUTHPORT HARBOR

Golden hour at Southport Harbor in Fairfield, Connecticut never disappoints for a romantic portrait session! Arturo and I loved meeting Maggie and Donald for their summer engagement session in this quaint, coastal neighborhood. There’s no denying that these two are in love, and to photograph that love was truly a treat!

As the four of us walked around the streets that line the harbor, we heard all about the wedding plans Donald and Maggie already have in place (spoiler alert: it’s going to be an incredible celebration!). The sailboats were scattered in the water of Southport Harbor, creating the most beautiful backdrops for some of their engagement portraits. These two are total naturals in front of the camera and were up for pretty much every idea that Arturo and I had.

Maggie and Donald are certainly efficient: they got engaged in April, booked with us in May, and are getting married this August! They not only have a stellar vendor team but are also planning what sounds like a wedding that is 100% true to them. After photographing their engagement session, we know their day is going to be a wonderful one!

THE PROPOSAL STORY

When visiting family in Charleston, South Carolina, Donald planned a beautiful dinner for him and Maggie to enjoy at a local restaurant. Their plans were delayed, so the two of them went for a walk on the beach together. Little did Maggie know that it was all part of his proposal plan! They arrived at a part of the beach near the dunes where Donald had set up beautiful flowers, and then he asked her to marry him. She said yes, and now they’ll be getting married this summer!

Arturo and I cannot wait to celebrate these two at The Village in Stamford, Connecticut this August. Congratulations Maggie and Donald!
