A SPRING ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT WAVENY PARK

Brianna and Matt’s engagement session at Waveny Park in New Canaan, Connecticut was a springtime dream! The park's stunning gardens, paired with the charm of the historic mansion, provided the perfect backdrop for their love story. As photographers, there's nothing quite like capturing our couples during the magical golden hour, especially during the spring season when everything is in bloom!

We began Matt and Brianna’s engagement session just as the warm golden light was beginning to filter through the trees. After snapping portraits in front of Waveny House, the sky turned cloudy, providing us with a soft and romantic evening light. Arturo and I led our couple to some of the gardens, where everything was finally in full bloom.

Brianna and Matt included their sweet pup, Tilly, in a few of their engagement photos, and she may or may not have stolen the show! Their session ended as the pair walked hand in hand along one of the park’s pathways, stopping every so often for a sweet kiss or an embrace. If their engagement session was any indication of their wedding day, we know it’s going to be an incredible one!

THE PROPOSAL STORY

Brianna is a nurse, and a busy one at that! When Matt realized just how much she had going on at work, he insisted that they go to their favorite winery, RGNY, located on the North Fork of Long Island, followed by a meal at their favorite restaurant. After arriving at the winery and purchasing a wine flight, Matt mentioned he had a headache and needed to go to the car for some ibuprofen.

She joined him on the walk to the car, but before making it there, Matt stopped her in front of the barn doors of the tasting room. He turned to Brianna, asked if she was ready for their next chapter together, then got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! She of course said yes, and the two went inside where they were greeted by their favorite RGNY staff members with champagne.

After their time at the winery, Brianna and Matt made their way to their favorite restaurant to celebrate. When they walked inside, Matt confirmed his reservation for 16 people, which surprised Brianna even more! Both of their families welcomed them in the party room to enjoy a joyous meal together that evening.

While Brianna thought all of the surprises had concluded that evening, she was in for one more treat! On their way home from the restaurant, she called her best friend to share the news of her proposal and insisted on coming over to pop a bottle of champagne. When Matt and Brianna opened the door to their apartment, they found all of their closest friends there with decorations, snacks, and drinks!

These two are getting married next September at Stonebridge Country Club on Long Island, and we cannot wait to see their day come to life! Congratulations Brianna & Matt!
