A WEDDING AT THE INN AT LONGSHORE

Laura and Mike’s wedding at The Inn at Longshore in Westport, Connecticut was an autumn dream! We last photographed Mike and Laura at their Waveny Park engagement session earlier this year in New Canaan, Connecticut. After spending time with them then, Arturo and I knew their wedding was going to be AMAZING!

Lush florals, gold accents, and plenty of personal details had me ooh-ing and ahh-ing all day! I love a good coastal wedding celebration and their day did not disappoint. It was one of the first real fall days we’ve had here in New England since the change of seasons. Though it was overcast and windy, the colors of Mike and Laura’s beautiful flowers popped so beautifully!

Laura and her girls prepared for the day ahead at The Inn at Longshore while Mike and his guys did the same at a nearby hotel. The two shared a sweet and sentimental first look along the water before we started photographing their romantic portraits! Laura and Mike’s wedding party and family members soon joined us outside for photos before the ceremony began.

Their wedding ceremony also took place along the water with coastal views serving as the perfect backdrop to their photos. After exchanging vows and rings, the newlyweds shared their first kiss as husband and wife! Guests cheered, clapped, and tossed confetti as Laura and Mike made their way back up the aisle with beaming smiles on their faces!

The new Mr. & Mrs. were endlessly celebrated by their family and friends that evening! Wonderful speeches were given and heartfelt toasts were made. Mike and Laura had one of our favorite wedding bands keeping the dance floor packed all night long! It was truly a celebration to remember!

THE LOVE STORY

Mike and Laura met when they were paired up in their friends’ wedding back in 2014. Everyone was hoping they would get together but unfortunately, it didn’t work out at that time. The two remained acquaintances until 2016 when they were both in different places in their lives. Laura heard that Mike had been asking about her at a party, so she decided to reach out to him that evening! The following week they went on their first date, which brought us all together on their beautiful wedding day!

Congratulations Laura and Mike! It was an honor to be a part of your day. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness!

Laura’s monogrammed velvet ring box matched perfectly with her wedding florals!
