Whenever I photograph a wedding, I'm always brought back to different moments of my wedding day and how I felt as a bride. As a wedding photographer, I have the distinct pleasure of capturing those same feelings for each couple on their wedding day. Watching two soulmates enjoy this special day in their lives together reminds me of how much I absolutely love being married! Sally and Peter's wedding was an extra special reminder of how beautiful marriage and relationships are. They met at Harvard Medical School, fell in love and are now Mr. & Mrs! I loved photographing this classic and timeless wedding at New Haven Lawn Club! It was my first time shooting at the Lawn Club, and I must say, it's one of my new favorite venues! It has a classic and timeless feel with beautiful art-deco décor. The area for the cocktail hour has two fireplaces at either side of the room which can be beautifully decorated with florals and candles. When I walked into the ballroom, I'm pretty sure my jaw dropped to the floor! Beautiful natural light flooded in from the floor to ceiling windows. The gorgeous chandeliers sparkled as they reflected the light, adding just a touch of glam to the room. And the staff; oh were they fabulous! I absolutely LOVED working with everyone who I met there that day.

I started off the day at the Lawn Club with Peter and his groomsmen. We later headed out with the entire bridal party for some photos around the Yale University campus. Sally studied at Yale and met several of her bridesmaids while she was a student there, so it only made sense for us to stop at some of her favorite spots for photos, including the Pierson College Library and Old Campus. We then made our way to Battell Chapel for Sally and Peter to exchange their vows! Their ceremony was one of the most beautiful ones I've ever witnessed. The couple's sweet pup, Sophie, even made her way down the aisle! Sally's family is from China, so her grandfather recited a Chinese prayer during the ceremony as the guests followed along with translation cards in the pews. The beautiful bride and groom both wrote personal heartfelt vows, which had all of their guests laughing and crying beautiful, joyful tears.

We headed back to New Haven Lawn Club for Sally and Peter to celebrate their I Do's with family and friends from around the world. The two shared a beautiful first dance and had some of the sweetest speeches I've ever heard dedicated to them from their parents and best friends.
