A DELAMAR SOUTHPORT WEDDING

This classic New England wedding celebration at the Delamar Southport in Fairfield, Connecticut was an absolute dream! When you combine a wonderful couple, two amazing families, beautiful personal details, and perfect fall weather, you have the recipe for one memorable wedding day. Arturo and I left that evening with our hearts overflowing with joy and gratitude, feeling so honored to have been a small part of one of the most important days in this couple’s life!

Our bride and groom reached out to Arturo and me just two days before their wedding and asked if we were available to photograph their day. Funny enough, we had just photographed a wedding at the Delamar the previous week, and it quickly became one of our new favorite venues! We jumped at the chance to photograph another wedding there so soon!

After their ceremony, the new Mr. & Mrs. opted for portraits on the front lawn of the gorgeous Pequot Library in Southport, just minutes away from their reception at Artisan Restuarant. The autumn leaves were absolutely gorgeous and added a beautiful pop of color to their newlywed photos, despite the slightly overcast day we had. We ended their portrait time with our bride and groom sitting on the back of a teal 1963 Cadillac convertible! Talk about making an entrance to the reception!

Even as I culled through their photos in the days following their wedding, I could 100% feel the joy and excitement that were radiating off of these two all day. They were surrounded by nothing but love and support from all of their family members. Just wait until you see the smiles from these guys!

The detailing on these bridal shoes was so elegant!

Our beautiful bride and her dad arrived to the church in a classic 1963 Cadillac. Soon after, her niece and nephew arrived as well; how sweet are they?!

How wonderful is that look of excitement on our groom’s face?!

How stunning is this lush bridal bouquet?! I absolutely loved the bright pops of fall colors and mix of textures!

If you’re thinking about renting a vintage or classic car for your wedding day, my vote will ALWAYS be yes! I promise it will add an extra fun element to your portraits!

I’m so glad the newlyweds wanted to end their portrait time in front of the beautiful entrance to the Delamar!

Vibrant florals on your wedding cake will always give it an extra bit of a pop!

Before his welcome speech, our bride’s dad surprised everyone with his performance of “My Girl”, and it was just the sweetest thing!
