A FALL ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT GALLAHER MANSION
Savannah and Damiano’s engagement session took place on a beautiful October evening at Gallaher Mansion in Norwalk, Connecticut. It was nearing the peak of the fall foliage here in southern Connecticut, and the colors of the trees within Cranbury Park did not disappoint! As a kid, I spent a lot of time playing and hiking around the grounds of Gallaher Mansion and Cranbury Park, so it’s always a treat to come back and photograph our couples here for their engagement sessions and weddings.
Arturo and I had a fantastic time getting to know Damiano and Savannah as we walked around Cranbury Park, stopping here and there to snap their engagement portraits. These two are easygoing and up for almost anything. Their joy and smiles were absolutely contagious, something we love to see shared between each and every one of our couples. The connection they have could easily be felt, and is seamlessly shown in each one of their engagement photos!
THE PROPOSAL STORY
Last year, Savanah and Damiano planned a trip to Charleston and Savannah for her 30th birthday. On the second evening of their trip, Dam proposed to Savannah at the Airbnb they were staying at. It was a quiet, intimate moment between the two of them as Savannah was putting on her jewelry for the night. The pair spent the next hour calling their closest family members and friends to share the exciting news before heading out to celebrate!
Savannah and Damiano are getting married this coming April at The Inn at Longshore in Westport, Connecticut, and we’re beyond excited to celebrate them. If their engagement session was any indication of how their wedding day is going to be, we know it’s going to be a good one!
When did you know you'd found "the one"?
Savannah: “I knew Damiano was the one when I first visited Italy to meet his extended family. It’s such a special place for him, and for Dam to share that with me was incredible. The town is on a mountain top and I remember that when we went on a walk just the two of us, he shared how happy he was that I was finally able to visit with him.”
Damiano: “I think in some ways I always knew. From the moment when we met each other in high school, I always had a feeling about her, and it turned out to be spot on.”
What's one thing you love about your partner?
Savannah: “Dam is always ‘Team Savannah’. I know he has my back even when I don’t have my own. I can count on him for everything including making sure I don’t get hangry to helping me through some of the most difficult times in my life.”
Damiano: “Her passion in general. No matter what she’s doing she is all in, and that passion carries over to how she cares for others as well.”
Besides getting married, what is one thing you're looking forward to on your wedding day?
Savannah: “I can’t wait to have all our friends and family who have shared so many of our special moments as a couple together in one place. We are the couple we are today through the support of our loved ones.”
Damiano: “Being together with all of our favorite people in the world all in one place.”
What's one thing you're looking forward to about marriage?
Savannah: “Being together through thick and thin and sharing the little and big moments together. Oh, and being called Mrs. Rinaldi!”
Damiano: “Just knowing we will continue to share all of our future years together making more memories.”
