A FALL WEDDING AT THE GARDEN AT THE HOPS COMPANY
Sam and Steve’s fall wedding at The Garden at The Hops Company in Derby, Connecticut was one dreamy day! Incredible autumn weather, a bit of sunshine, and a sweet couple in love made this celebration one for the books. This was our first time photographing a wedding at The Garden at The Hops, and Arturo and I certainly look forward to being back!
After Steve and Sam got ready for the day’s festivities, they met in the back garden for their first look. Beaming smiles came across their faces as their eyes met in that moment. We had the entire area to ourselves for portraits so Sam and Steve could have some downtime together before their wedding party and family members arrived. As the bride and groom cuddled up together, the sun glistened through the tall trees behind them, giving Arturo and me the most lovely backlight to work with!
Steve and Sam were married in a short but sweet ceremony while surrounded by their closest loved ones. After exchanging their wedding bands, the two shared their first kiss as each one of their guests clapped and cheered for the newlyweds! Shy, yet excited, smirks came across their faces as they turned to walk back up the aisle together. They were finally married!
Their wedding reception took place under a large sailcloth tent at The Garden at The Hops, which was elegantly decorated with lush flowers and greenery. Sam and Steve even took the time to create personalized place cards for each of their guests! The new Mr. and Mrs. were celebrated late into the evening by their friends and families. Heartfelt toasts and plenty of dancing were the perfect way to end a beautiful day for a wonderful couple!
THE LOVE STORY
Steve and Sam met on Tinder a few years back. They had a few mutual acquaintances, and after texting for quite a while, decided to meet up at a local restaurant for their first date. They immediately hit it off, and ended up staying much later than they ever planned to (despite the fact that they each had to work 12-hour shifts the next day)!
