A FALL WEDDING AT GREENTREE COUNTRY CLUB
After two postponements and three different wedding dates, Wydnne and Joe are finally married! These newlyweds are proof that a pandemic was not going to stop them from having the wedding day they’d been dreaming of for two years. Their fall wedding celebration took place at Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle, New York. If you’ve followed us for a while, you know how much Arturo and I enjoy working at ballroom venues and photographing coastal weddings. Greentree Country Club is both of those wrapped up into one picture-perfect spot!
I first photographed Joe and Wydnne at their Untermyer Gardens engagement session in Yonkers, New York last fall. Almost immediately, they became complete naturals in front of my camera. I had an absolute blast with them that day, and knew that their wedding day was 100% going to be worth the wait! Wydnne and Joe share a beautiful bond, and it’s been such a joy to photograph them over these last couple of years.
Their wedding ceremony took place in a stunning historical church nearby. As the doors opened and Joe saw Wydnne for the first time, a few tears filled his eyes followed by a smile beaming across his face! After sharing their first kiss, the bride and groom were cheered on as they walked back up the aisle as Mr. and Mrs!
We had the most incredible romantic light during golden hour for Joe and Wydnne’s newlywed portraits. One thing I enjoy about photographing weddings at Greentree Country Club is the abundance of portrait locations in a relatively small area. We utilized everything from the beach, to the coastal grasses, to an empty courtyard as the sun began to set over the hill and behind the venue.
The newlyweds were celebrated late into the evening with sweet toasts, incredible music, and endless dancing. It was a wonderful wedding celebration that Wydnne and Joe most certainly deserved!
THE LOVE STORY
Joe and Wydnne met at their first job after graduating from college. Joe had received a call from a Spanish-speaking customer, and since he didn’t speak Spanish, he asked if anyone in the office could help. Wydnne stood up and assisted Joe on the call.
Over time, the two would chat and even tried going out together with a group of their coworkers a few times, but their schedules never aligned to do so. Eventually, Joe decided to ask Wydnne out to see a movie, and the rest is history!
