Groton Long Point Yacht Club Wedding in Groton, CT | Abby & Sam
Not only is Abby an Olympic diver, she's also a doctor! Sam is an accomplished collegiate athlete and now the assistant football coach at Duke University, where the two first met. Abby lost her student ID on campus, which Sam happened to find. Upon delivering it back to her, he asked her on a date, and the rest is history!
Abby and Sam were married on a beautiful summer day in late June. They exchanged their vows in an adorable little church the New England coastal town of Groton, Connecticut. Sam and his family used to spend their summers here, so it made for the perfect location for him and Abby to tie the knot! They decided to forego a First Look, but Sam's face when he saw Abby walking down the aisle was just the sweetest!
Their sunset portraits were definitely my favorite part of the day! Groton Long Point Yacht Club is just a block away from a picturesque New England beach lined with summer cottages. We caught the last bit of the sun as it was setting below the horizon, which gave us the most romantic golden light. Sam even scooped Abby up in his arms for a kiss and walked her back to the boardwalk!
