Andy and Melissa's wedding at The Inn at Longshore was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Stunning florals paired with one of my favorite waterfront wedding venues in Westport, Connecticut had me swooning all day! Melissa and Andy grew up in the same hometown of Goshen, Connecticut. Though they weren't close as kids, their parents have been friends for decades. It wasn't until Melissa's freshman year of college that she and Andy reconnected! At the time, they both worked as emergency medical technicians at Goshen's fire department. After a few months of flirting, they finally became an item on Labor Day Weekend in 2012!

Melissa and Andy's wedding day is one I've been looking forward to since the day they got engaged in 2016! I first met Andy when he reached out to me looking for a photographer to capture his proposal to Melissa at Cranbury Park in Norwalk almost two years ago. After setting a wedding date a few months later, they came to visit Arturo and me at our studio and asked us to be their wedding photographers (they were also so sweet to bring a box of donuts from our favorite local shop)! As the fall season arrived to us here in New England, Andy and Melissa opted for a Yale University engagement session in New Haven. Romantic proposals, donuts, and a Yale engagement session... can you see why we adore them so much?! Fast forward to last week, these two finally tied the knot and had a beautiful wedding celebration among family and friends.

Melissa and her bridesmaids got ready at the Delamar Hotel in Southport before she shared a sweet first look with her dad. The girls then headed out for the ceremony which took place at an old historic church near the center of Westport. Luckily, most of the rain held off for the day and we were able to take advantage of time for photos along the water at The Inn at Longshore! We had so much fun with the newlyweds during their portrait time; Arturo and I both agree that Melissa and Andy will forever be one of the most hysterical couples we've ever worked with! The toasts given by Melissa's dad and maids of honor, as well as Andy's best man, kept their guests laughing and clapping. Their wedding band had everyone's energy levels up, making for a packed and exciting dance floor all night!

The new Mr. & Mrs. are headed to Europe (starting in Rome, Italy!) for their honeymoon, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit jealous! These two are some of the sweetest humans I know, and we're so thankful to have been able to document such big events in their lives. Melissa and Andy, we wish you many more years of endless love, happiness and adventures! Cheers!

You guys know I have a soft spot in my heart for family heirlooms... These pearl earrings were the same ones Melissa's dad gave her mom on their wedding day!

The bridesmaids were all so excited to see Melissa in her dress for the first time!

When the father of the bride has jokes! Can you see what he wrote on Andy's shoes? When he and Melissa knelt down at the alter their guests started to laugh, leaving Melissa wondering what they were all giggling about!

After sharing a few moments alone for their first dance, Andy and Melissa invited their guests onto the dance floor to enjoy the rest of the song with them!
