Longshore Pavilion Wedding in Norwalk, CT | Ellen & Bobby

Ellen and Bobby’s wedding celebration at the Longshore Pavilion in Norwalk, Connecticut was absolutely STUNNING! If you've been reading our blog for a while, you know Arturo and I love weddings along the New England coast for their timeless elegance. This beautiful wedding venue is located at Norwalk Cove next to Calf Pasture Beach, giving visitors endless views of the Long Island Sound and a gorgeous sunset at the end of the evening. The Longshore Pavilion is also owned by one of our favorite local wedding venues, The Inn at Longshore!

At the start of their wedding ceremony, Bobby’s eyes began to tear up once all of the lovely bridesmaids started walking down the aisle. Once Ellen came into sight, Bobby and his best man, who is also Ellen’s older brother, both began to tear up even more! Let me tell you, it was one of the sweetest moments we’ve seen during a wedding ceremony all season! The week leading up to Bobby and Ellen’s wedding day was full of dark skies and SO MUCH RAIN. Luckily the weather cleared up just in time for their beautiful day. After the ceremony, we headed to Pear Tree Point Beach in Darien with the wedding party for a quick portrait session before making our way to the Longshore Pavilion for additional family portraits and the reception. Ellen and Bobby’s wedding celebration along the water began just as the sun was setting, and their tented reception was elegantly lit with bistro lighting.

When I photographed Ellen and Bobby for their Waveny Park engagement session in New Canaan, Connecticut back in May, I loved hearing the details of Bobby’s sweet proposal. He and Ellen grew up together, though they weren’t truly friends despite the fact that their families knew each other, they attended the same church, and graduated high school together. It wasn’t until their college years that they started hanging out in the same circle due to a mutual friend! They began spending a lot of time with their group of friends, and eventually started spending time alone. After seven years of dating, Bobby asked Ellen to marry him last year during their Labor Day Weekend getaway to Crescent Lake in Maine!

These newlyweds are currently celebrating their honeymoon in Aruba! Congratulations Ellen and Bobby! Enjoy that beautiful tropical sunshine, and cheers to many happy years ahead!

After Ellen started reading her card from Bobby she exclaimed, “We wrote the exact same first line to each other!” Talk about a perfect match!

Bobby started to tear up when the bridesmaids came walking down the aisle, but even more so when he saw Ellen!

Bobby is a firefighter at the Noroton Fire Department, so the newlyweds and their wedding party were escorted to the reception via firetrucks!

Look at that puppy smile! Piper definitely stole the show when posing for photos with her parents!

Aren’t they beautiful?!

After their cake cutting, Bobby serenaded Ellen with one of her favorite Taylor Swift songs! This was by far one of our all-time favorite cake cuttings!
