A WEDDING AT THE INN AT LONGSHORE
Arturo and I ended our winter wedding season with Jamie and Taylor’s beautiful coastal celebration at The Inn at Longshore in Westport, Connecticut! After photographing their engagement session at Waveny Park in New Canaan, Connecticut back in the fall of 2018, we KNEW how much fun their wedding day was going to be. Taylor and Jamie share such a wonderful love, and it’s a romance we love to document!
Our day started as the bride and groom got ready in their respective hotel rooms at The Inn at Longshore. Jamie had the most iconic and classic bridal details with soft whites, blushes, and a touch of gold. Her older sister got married just a few months ago, so Jamie wore her sister’s bridal veil as her “something borrowed”— how sweet is that?! Talk about a sentimental family wedding heirloom! Taylor looked dapper as ever in his tux, finished off by his custom cufflinks that were a gift from his aunt a few years back. I always say that grooms can’t go wrong with a classic black tuxedo, and Taylor wore it well!
After getting ready for the day ahead, Jamie and Taylor braved the cold temperatures of that New England February afternoon for their first look. The coastal winds may have been chilly, and it may have only been 30°, but everyone agreed it was 100% worth it! You’d never know how frozen we all truly were when looking at the portraits of these two. The cold definitely wasn’t taking the joy and happiness away from Taylor and Jamie!!
Their wedding ceremony began just as the sun was setting. Filled with a few nerves, but mostly pure excitement, Jamie and Taylor exchanged vows and rings before sharing their first kiss as husband and wife! As they walked back up the aisle together with beaming smiles on their faces as the sound of cheering and clapping filled the room!
I could go on and on about how much we adore these two! Every minute Arturo and I have spent with them and every conversation we’ve shared has filled our hearts to the brim with joy. What an honor it was to be the ones to capture this part of their love story!
THE LOVE STORY
Taylor and Jamie met at work a few years ago. She was a brand new nurse in the pediatric office that his dad owns, and he was a medical assistant working in the same office. Jamie was shadowing another nurse in the office that day when Taylor waltzed in late, iced coffee in hand. She was sitting in "his" designated seat, and was so embarrassed! Jamie moved immediately and clearly remembers having such a blast working for the rest of the day. That night, she friend requested him on Facebook, and the two talked the whole night on Messenger. About a month later, Taylor and Jamie finally decided to go on their first date, which ultimately brought us all together for their stunning February wedding day!
Congratulations Jamie and Taylor! We absolutely love you both, and wish you endless adventure and happiness in the years to come!
