The Waterview Wedding in Monroe, CT | Sara & Andrew
After being together for six years and engaged for almost two, Sara and Andrew were married in front of their closest family and friends at The Waterview in Monroe, Connecticut. All week the forecast was calling for rain and gray skies, but miraculously the clouds parted and the sun made an appearance shortly before their ceremony started! Arturo and I last spent some time with Sara and Andrew when we photographed them for their Waveny Park engagement session in July. Though were were thankful to have had the beautiful evening light that day, at the time it felt like one of the hottest, most humid days of the summer. I think we all were grateful for the cooler temperatures on their October wedding day!
Sara was surrounded by her bridesmaids and close family members as she got ready for the day’s festivities, and Andrew by his best man. Their ceremony backdrop consisted of beautiful views of Lake Zoar which was lined with trees that were just starting to turn color with the fall foliage. Andrew and Sara each wrote their own vows, explaining their deep love for each other and how their marriage would continue to build upon that foundation. After a romantic first kiss, the new Mr. & Mrs. walked back up the aisle as they were cheered on by all of their guests! Arturo and I snuck them away from their cocktail hour for just a few minutes to photograph their newlywed portraits in front of the lake before heading back inside. They shared a sweet first dance, which was followed by Sara’s dance with her dad and Andrew’s dance with his mom. The dance floor then opened to their wedding guests, who definitely know how to have a good time! If there’s one thing I’m sure of, Andrew and Sara were surrounded with endless love by friends and family on their beautiful wedding day.

We were excited to sneak Andrew and Sara out for some additional afternoon portraits before they hopped onto the dance floor with their friends and family!
