Vineyard-Inspired Spring Wedding at 314 Beer Garden in Norwalk, CT
SPRING WEDDING INSPIRATION
It’s been almost a year since I photographed this beautiful spring wedding editorial at 314 Beer Garden in Norwalk, Connecticut. As we dive into the spring wedding season in the coming weeks, I’m excited to finally be sharing some of this inspiration with our readers! Early last year, I teamed up with design genius Ashley Czaplicki, owner and lead wedding planner of Aced Events, to put together a colorful spring wedding inspiration editorial. We’re both fans of a good dusty blue theme, so we knew it had to be the base of the wedding design.
314 Beer Garden is an outdoor venue that is in an industrial setting, but the courtyard itself gives off some intimate vineyard vibes when styled accordingly. In her design, Ashley’s goal was to create an intimate and luxurious event filled with soft, romantic, and elegant details. After a bit of brainstorming, we settled on a color palette featuring blues, whites, greens, a few hints of gold, and pops of other soft pastel spring colors.
We wanted this editorial to be very floral heavy since flowers have an incredibly high impact on wedding design and wedding photography! The lush, colorful florals from Flowers by Justine helped to soften the industrial feel of 314 Beer Garden while adding a touch of romance to it as well. Draping and lighting were also brought in to elevate the reception space under the pergola while also adding some cozy elegance.
In recent years, we’ve seen an uptick in couples who want to create an “experience” for their wedding guests and create an element of surprise for those in attendance. For this, Ashley found the perfect addition to our vendor team, The Tuk Tuk Truck, a mobile bar service in a vintage Piaggio Ape. We found this could be the perfect photo op for guests, AND it fit wonderfully with our color palette!
As we dreamed up this editorial, Ashley and I wanted to create inspiration for couples who are planning intimate, yet luxurious, wedding celebrations. Throughout the pandemic, weddings with smaller guests lists have become quite popular, leaving more room in a couples’ wedding budgets to create an elevated experience for themselves and their guests!
I hope you enjoyed this spring wedding editorial at 314 Beer Garden! What fun design elements will you be including on your wedding day?
