A WAVENY PARK ENGAGEMENT SESSION

The peak of the autumn foliage seemed to arrive a little later this year, but it worked in our favor for Brittany and Kyle’s engagement session at Waveny Park in New Canaan, Connecticut! I absolutely love being able to utilize Waveny House and the surrounding areas in the background of engagement photos, but the addition of the fall colors added an extra pop to Kyle and Brittany’s portraits.

I had a wonderful time spending time with these two and hearing all about their October 2022 wedding as we walked around the grounds of the park. They’re planning what is sure to be a fantastic celebration at one of our favorite wedding venues in Westchester, with a fabulous vendor team to boot!

It was an overcast evening, but the softened light is always some of my favorite to work with since it adds an extra touch of romance to engagement photos. One of my go-to spots for portraits at Waveny Park is on the back terrace of Waveny Manor. It overlooks the great lawn of the park and has a stunning view of the gardens and autumn tree line near the walking paths. The hydrangeas that line the terrace still had a bit of color, and they made a perfect backdrop for photos of Brittany’s beautiful engagement ring!

These two are getting married next fall at Whitby Castle in Rye, New York, and I cannot wait for their day to arrive! Congratulations Brittany and Kyle!
