WEDDING PORTRAITS AT YALE UNIVERSITY
Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut has always been one of my favorite locations for wedding and engagement portraits. The breathtaking architecture paired with a couple in love makes for two wonderful components to romantic photographs! Erica and Santino eloped last month, so I was very excited when they reached out asking Arturo and me to photograph some wedding portraits at Yale for them. Their sweet pup, Yoshi, joined them in some of the photos and he was just the cutest! Yoshi might be a total mama’s boy, but even so, it made for some adorable photos!!
The newlyweds met during their undergrad years but now split their time together between Connecticut and Massachusetts. They make the trip back and forth between New Haven, where Santino is attending grad school at Yale, and Boston, where Erica is also attending grad school.
We spent most of our time in the area around Sterling Memorial Library, one of my favorite spots in downtown New Haven. Their portraits were taken during the peak of the fall foliage here in southern Connecticut, and the trees were certainly showing off all of their colors. It was such a treat to spend some time with these two, learn a bit about their love story, and enjoy the fall weather together on the Yale campus!

If Yoshi wasn’t sitting or walking with Erica and Santino, he would hop up on his hind legs and hug Erica’s leg. What a mama’s boy!
