Coastal Spring Wedding at The Inn at Longshore in Westport, CT | Brittany & Ryan
A COASTAL SPRING WEDDING AT THE INN AT LONGSHORE
Brittany and Ryan’s stunning and vibrant spring wedding took place at The Inn at Longshore in Westport, Connecticut. Their daytime soirée was filled with a beautiful kind of love and joy that made the celebration truly unforgettable! If you’ve followed us for a while, you know how much Arturo and I love weddings at Longshore, so it was a wonderful treat to be here a second time this month.
It was raining that morning, which meant our plans for outdoor wedding portraits on the back lawn along the water were foiled. Luckily The Inn at Longshore is a versatile wedding venue, and has the most quaint little front room off the main entrance that is filled with plenty of natural light, even on overcast days!
Before their ceremony, Ryan and Brittany met for their first look. Their beaming smiles brought me back to their summer engagement session that we photographed at The Inn at Longshore back in August. These two are absolute sweethearts through and through, and we just loved capturing these sweet moments for them!
Brittany looked absolutely stunning in her flowing white gown, while her bridesmaids wore elegant dresses in a soft shade of blue that was perfect for a spring celebration. Ryan and his groomsmen looked dashing in classic navy suits, completing the timeless look of the wedding party.
Due to the weather, their ceremony was held inside Longshore’s main ballroom. The bride and groom exchanged heartfelt vows under an arch adorned with colorful flowers and greenery. Just before their ceremony finished, some of the clouds cleared and the room brightened up just a bit with sunshine before Ryan and Brittany were pronounced husband and wife. Their first kiss was met with a cheer and applause from all of their guests, who continued to shower the newlyweds with love all day long.
Their brunch reception was also held inside the Inn's elegant ballroom, which is flooded with copious amounts of stunning natural light. The tables were set with delicate place settings and pops of color from the vibrant floral centerpieces. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds, with delicious food and drinks served to the happy guests.
Later that afternoon, the sun finally came out in full force! Arturo and I took the opportunity to sneak the new Mr. & Mrs. away from their dance floor for a few minutes to capture their newlywed portraits by the glittering water. As the day began to wind down, Brittany and Ryan surprised their guests with one more treat, a donut food truck. As friends and family said their goodbyes and headed to their cars, they could choose from a variety of mini donuts from Donut Crazy!
THE LOVE STORY
In the summer of 2018, Ryan and Brittany met on Bumble. Soon after, Brittany deleted the app, which made Ryan think that they’d unmatched. Luckily, Brittany rejoined a short time later, because Ryan had been on her mind. She hoped that they’d match again and sure enough, they did! The two went on a 4-hour first date at a local restaurant that October.
Soon after, the couple went on a second date, followed by a third and a fourth. Brittany and Ryan’s feelings for each other grew relatively quickly, and that December, she nervously invited him to her company’s holiday party. From then on they were inseparable, and the rest is history!
Brittany and Ryan, we loved your day from start to finish! Thank you for trusting us to capture all of the wonderful moments of your wedding. Wishing you endless happiness in the years ahead!
