Yale University Elopement in New Haven, CT | Erin & John
This Yale University elopement may be one of the most colorful wedding days I've ever photographed!! You guys know I love color, but despite that, being around the timeless Yale architecture for this elopement inspired me to edit many more of my portraits in black and white! There were so many aspects of this elopement that I loved, from the wedding design ideas of Chelsea at Pearl Weddings & Events to the stunning cake from Sam at Cake Lore Co. What really got me was the chemistry that these beautiful souls had. Despite the chilly autumn day, these two were up for anything!
We started the day at the arch next to Harkness Tower, one of my favorite spots on the Yale campus. The wedding ceremony was short and sweet, ending with a beautifully romantic first kiss! I took advantage of the time for some quick romantic portraits in front of the wrought iron gate beautifully decorated by Sandie of Fizz & Fleurs and Meghan of Studio Strata. We continued on to Yale Old Campus across the street for more portraits before Erin and John celebrated with some cocktails and some small eats!
This is one of my favorite spots is this arch located at Harkness Tower near Yale Old Campus in downtown New Haven. I could take an endless amount of portraits here!
